This unit definitely requires a bit of assembly. Everything ships in one box, and from the first cut to the final screw took about 1.5 hours. Most of the plastic panels and pieces clip into place, BUT, they are call for screws to be installed. I used the provided screwdriver, but would highly recommend using a drill or electric screwdriver on a low setting.
The instructions for this product is VERY good. The pictures are excellent, and you barely need to actually read the instructions because of the clarity of the pictures.
From a feature perspective, the optional 4WD setting and electric dump bed are just fantastic. The dump bed doesn't go quite as far as I'd like. If you have dirt or something in there, it won't ALL come out, but if you have a larger item it will fall out. That being said, there is a weight limit of 11lbs in the bed (per the sticker).
The truck does appear to have some suspension, so it's a little bit of a softer ride than some other ride-ons.
The remote control is quite responsive, and DOES have a brake button on it to prevent rolling or stop immediately. About the only thing you can't do from the remote control is dump to dump bed.
Assembly was simple, albeit a bit long. The build quality is good, though the plastic is more of a flexible plastic that a rigid plastic. It's unclear to me if this is a good or bad thing. I will say, my car came with some cracks in the frame near the rear axle, though I still need to look at how to get in contact with the company regarding this. The box I got this in didn't appear damaged severely in shipping. A little disappointed at this, but if you check this area upon first opening yours, you should be able to return or replace with amazon.
Definitely pleased with the features of this electric vehicle. I does appear to have quite a large battery, and looking forward to my son and nieces and nephews helping out on the next outdoor project!
